Angela Scott Abdur-Rasheed is an Alabama native currently serving as President of The Amplify Agency, LLC, a consulting firm amplifying workforce development, public relations, and literary works. She is simultaneously the full-time Communications and Community Engagement Director at Prosper, a nonprofit dedicated to building the most inclusive and thriving economy in the Southeast. Prior to that, she lent her professional gifts leading AmeriCorps and in economic empowerment, corporate marketing, ministry, television, radio and as the first publicist for Comedian Rickey Smiley.

Angela is a Telecommunication and Film graduate of the University of Alabama with a DE&I certification from the University of South Florida regularly sought to facilitate local and national trainings. Angela has served with, trained for, or trained under more than 30 local and national organizations and enjoys writing books in her spare time.  Her more than one-half dozen books are available on Amazon. She was honored as one of the Top Women for 2022 by Birmingham Business Journal.
